Photo & Video Requirements

Clear, honest photos protect everyone. Sellers who document their items properly avoid disputes, and buyers who film unboxing videos can prove their case if something goes wrong. Follow these standards for every RimRevival transaction.

Seller photo standards

Every listing must include photos that honestly represent the item's condition. Required:

  • At least 1 full-size photo from BOTH sides — a clear shot of the front face and a clear shot of the back / inside barrel of each wheel or tire.
  • Good, even lighting — shoot outdoors in daylight or in a well-lit garage. Avoid shadows, glare, or dark photos that hide condition.
  • Plain background — a clean floor, wall, or driveway. Avoid cluttered backgrounds that distract from the item.
  • No filters or editing — do not enhance, brighten, or alter the finish. Buyers need to see the true color and condition.
  • All wheels visible — if selling a set of 4, show all 4 wheels individually so buyers can verify each one.
  • Tire DOT code legible (tires only) — include a close-up of the DOT code on the sidewall so the buyer can verify the manufacture date.
  • Close-ups of every disclosed defect — each imperfection or tire defect you disclose must have its own close-up photo showing the extent of the damage.
  • Bolt pattern / markings visible (rims only) — include a photo showing the lug pattern and any brand markings or part numbers.
Listings with poor or missing photos may be flagged for moderation. Disclosed defects without supporting photos weaken your position in any dispute.

Buyer & dispute photo standards

If you need to file a dispute, your claim depends on documented proof. Required:

  • Continuous unboxing video — one unbroken video from the sealed package to the fully opened item. Show the shipping label, the unopened box, the unpacking, and a close inspection of the item. Do not pause or cut the recording.
  • Clear photos of the item as received — all sides of each wheel or tire, in good lighting, showing the true condition upon arrival.
  • Packaging condition — photos of the box, packing material, and any damage to the packaging (this supports a carrier claim if transit damage occurred).
  • Close-ups of any damage or mismatch — zoomed-in shots of bends, cracks, curb rash, wrong bolt pattern, or any issue you're claiming.
  • Measurement photos — if claiming "not as described," use a tape measure in the photo to show diameter, width, or offset.
  • Shipping label & tracking — a photo of the label for delivery-date verification.
Disputes without a continuous unboxing video will be denied. No video = no claim. This protects honest sellers from fraudulent disputes.
