Affiliate Program Rules

Referrals are attributed once at signup — no codes to enter at checkout or listing. Commissions apply for 1 year from the referred user's signup date:

• • Buyer referral (5% of the platform fee): When someone signs up through your referral link or code, you earn 5% of RimRevival's platform fee on every purchase they make — for 1 year from their signup.
• • Seller referral (3% of the gross sale): When someone signs up through your referral link or code and later sells on RimRevival, you earn 3% of their gross sale amount on every listing they sell — for 1 year from their signup.
• • Both can apply on the same order — if you referred both the buyer and the seller, you earn both commissions (total 8%).
• • RimRevival's platform fee is percentage-based: 7% on the first $200 and 5% on the amount above $200 for standard sellers (10% / 7% for commercial sellers with 25+ sales/month).
• • Example (buyer referral): On a $400 referred sale, the platform fee is 7% × $200 + 5% × $200 = $24. You earn 5% of $24 = $1.20.
• • Example (seller referral): On the same $400 sale where you referred the seller, you earn 3% of $400 = $12.00.
• • Shipping fees are not commissionable — commission is calculated on the item price and platform fee only, never on shipping or transaction protection add-ons.
• • Promo-waived orders: When the platform fee is waived (e.g. "free with share" promo), buyer-side affiliate commission is also $0 since it's calculated from the platform fee. Seller-side commission still applies.
• • Self-referrals are not permitted. You cannot earn commission on your own purchases or your own listings.
• • One level only (single-tier): This is not a multi-level program. You earn commission only on transactions made by users you directly referred — not on commissions earned by affiliates you referred. If someone you referred becomes an affiliate themselves, you do not earn any percentage of their affiliate commissions. Only 1 level deep.
• • Commission is only earned once a referred order reaches completed status — after the 48-hour inspection window closes and funds are released to the seller.
• • 2-week clearing period: Commissions must clear a 14-day chargeback/clawback window before becoming eligible for payout. If the referred order is refunded, charged back, or disputed within 2 weeks of completion, the commission is reversed and deducted from your balance.
• • Admins may adjust individual commission rates (up to 15%) at their discretion.

• • Each affiliate receives a unique referral link and code (e.g. rimrevival.net/?ref=YOURCODE).
• • One-time signup attribution: When someone signs up for a RimRevival account through your referral link or by entering your code during registration, their account is attributed to you. No codes are entered at checkout or listing creation — the referral is locked in at signup.
• • 1-year commission window: You earn commission on a referred user's transactions for 1 year from their signup date. After 1 year, the referral expires and no further commission is earned on their activity.
• • A buyer referral is attributed to the affiliate whose code was used at signup. A seller referral is attributed to the same affiliate — the same referred user earns you commission whether they buy or sell.
• • Self-referrals are not permitted. Affiliates cannot earn commission on their own purchases or their own listings.
• • Referral codes are non-transferable and tied to a single affiliate account.

• • Commissions accrue in your affiliate balance as referred orders complete.
• • Payouts are sent automatically via Stripe Connect. You must connect and fully onboard a Stripe account to receive payouts.
• • Until your Stripe account is active, earned commissions remain held in your balance.
• • A PayPal email may be provided as a fallback for manual payouts if Stripe is unavailable.
• • Payouts are processed on Fridays only and require a minimum balance of $25.00 to be issued.
• • Balances below $25.00 roll over to the next payout cycle.
• • Admins initiate payouts from the RimRevival Dashboard.
• • Tax (1099-NEC): US affiliates earning $600 or more per calendar year will receive a 1099-NEC form via Stripe Connect for tax reporting purposes.
• • Clawback on refunds: If a referred order is refunded, charged back, or disputed after completion, the associated commission is reversed and deducted from your balance before the next payout. Commissions are subject to a 14-day clearing window before payout eligibility.

• • You must have a registered RimRevival account in good standing to apply.
• • All applications are reviewed and approved by RimRevival admins before earning begins.
• • Spamming, unsolicited mass messaging, or misleading advertising of your referral link is prohibited and may result in suspension.
• • Affiliates must not bid on RimRevival branded keywords or impersonate the RimRevival brand in promotional content.
• • FTC disclosure required: By law (FTC Endorsement Guides), you must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in any promotional content — include "#ad" or "I may earn a commission" in posts, videos, and messages that contain your referral link.
• • RimRevival reserves the right to suspend or terminate any affiliate account for fraud, abuse, or violation of these rules.
• • Banned accounts: If a buyer or seller is banned from RimRevival, all referral fees generated from their transactions are null and void — no commission is accrued or paid on any order involving a banned buyer or seller, even if the order completes successfully.
• • Zero tolerance for abuse: Any gross abuse of the affiliate program, attempts to defraud RimRevival or other users, fake referral generation, chargeback manipulation, or circumvention of these rules will result in permanent account termination and an IP ban — with no opportunity for reinstatement.
• • In short: follow the rules, be kind, and don't try to game the system. RimRevival wants affiliates to succeed — but only those who play fair.

• • Your affiliate dashboard shows total clicks, completed referrals, current balance, and lifetime earnings.
• • Click tracking records referral link visits for attribution insight — clicks do not guarantee commission.
• • Commission is only recorded when a referred order completes, not when a buyer clicks or places an offer.
